Energy Storage Project
Australia is an exciting continent where renewable energy such as wind, solar and ocean power is present in abundance. However, the major concerns about these sustainable resources are that the power generated is intermittent in nature (e.g. sun does not shine 24 hours, varying wind speed). This has been one of the key reasons it is difficult for renewable energy production to be scaled up to meet the high and relatively constant power demand from consumers.

Eco Solutions will provide an innovative approach to solve the problem by combining current renewable energy resources with energy storage. The focus of this project is to develop a commercial scale model for residential and commercial use. A prototype will be developed in The University of Queensland in 2009.
Eco Solutions is form by a team of final year Engineering students at The University of Queensland.
